I was just wondering if I turn discrimination up to preset instead of 1 would i miss alot of nickles? it seems that since i started using 1 instead of preset i have found a lot more but of course im also getting a lot of junk signals too. what is some of your choices and would i miss small gold items if i went back to preset? thanks Rick
 
You can crank your disc up to 4-5 and still get nickels.
Bury a nickel at an inch or two and test it out. Keep turning disc up until you lose the signal and then back it down a hair.
