No 3Khz coils anywhere!??

Tired Rooster

New member
Just got my 705 last night and assembled it today. Raining like crazy here so will have to wait to use it. Have already decided to purchase a 3Khz coil for it and can't find one anywhere. Nobody seems to have one! Called 4 different dealers.......out of stock, back ordered and was told " good luck finding one......we can't get them." What gives? Is that coil that popular or is it a common Minelab inventory issue? Will have to be patient I guess, but hard to do with a new MD just itching to be used.

get out there and hunt with what you got...? I got the gold package since i already have the 9"concentric 7.5kHz with my x30/I'm up $14 dollars in clads and a silver ring since i got my 705 five days ago..hope you have just as much fun and thrilling finds as i am....happy digs

I should be able to buy that 6" coil with coins in 6 months

Oh Yeah!!! I'm definitely gonna hunt with what I got. I got the gold pack. Didn't mean it that way. As soon as the weather clears and i'm off work I'll be in the field learning how to use this machine. I can't wait. I just was really wanting to get a 3Khz coil to add to the arsenal. I'm reading digger's ebook and the instruction manual today while it rains.

The standard 7.5kHz concentric coil is a great all-purpose coil for general detecting in parks and such. If you have difficulty getting the 3 kHz coil, then the standard coil would be a great addition to the 18.75 kHz DD coil you have. I am writing this from my own experiences. HH

Try contacting MineLab directly. The more folks pestering them over 3kHz coils the better.

on your warranty card at the bottom were they ask for comments mention this. mailed mine in today with,"give your customers what they want ,a 6" 3kHz coil".

I agree totally.

Rooster,

The 7.5 standard stock coil has great versatility, used ones are available at good prices.

The 3 kHz would be my next choice to complete your set. (wait for a clean used one to pop up)

The depths you will get will be similar to your Vaquaro, but with a better ability to discriminate out or recognize deep junk iron.

Good Hunting

Denny

I found one. Should have it here in a couple of days.:clapping:

I too love to buy all the coils available, but they ALL work just fine. Ya just gotta find a good spot get out there and hunt. HH. Bob.

I'll be calling them soon. Enough people pester them they will get busy to shut us up.
