No Blood splatters on Bullet

Nemo

New member
About a year ago, I posted on this Forum an unusual request for bullets that were thought to contain blood on them. I had seen CW blood splatters found in an attic in Gettysburg using CSI blood detection spray. I wondered if one could find blood on bullets.

Only one brave soul, KSDIGGER, stepped forward with a bullet. Here are the results in picture form. Incidentally, I even had my diabetic wife contribute a blood smear to the cause. How about that for spousal love!!!

I got one somewhere that has material indentions on the fron end of it. If I can find it I will let you know...d2

Dave, thank you for the analyzes on the bullet. I remember precisely where I found that bullet, right on the front lines of the engagement. Are the two samples under a blue light exposing the iron content in blood? What makes the blood show up and does it make a difference if the blood is 147 years old verses new blood samples? I will be looking forward seeing you at our meeting here in a few weeks. Thanks again!
