I am caught in the middle. IF you had to choose between a X-1 probe and the WOT which would you get first. Since I can't afford to get both at the same time this is my delima. Thanks for any input

I think it depends on how you detect and retrieve targets. If you search areas like manicured lawns and use a hole hog the X-1 is too fat and not directional enough to get down in the hole. I had one and sold it for that reason. If you dig wide holes for relics or hunt fields that may be different. If you use a hole hog the wand needs to be no more than 5/8 inches in diameter, 10 inches long, and get its signal at the tip not up the sides. The Tiny Tec works and the new pocket probe by Detector Pro both work well.
I may get lots of flack for this opinion but there it is. Just my personal experience.

I would pass on these probes that are tied to the detector, and buy a separate probe unit, so I could use it with whatever detector I have out that day.
Then I'd buy the WOT!

I did then cuss the big empty holes for 6 weeks then buy the X1 probe. <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D"> Buy the X1!

I Would Buy The WOT Coil. You Have To Find The Coin First. Then You Can Pinpoint And Dig Up The Coin.If YOU Do Use Another Detector At Times The X1 May Not Be The Probe Of Choice. You Might Look At Probes Not Connected To One Detector. But If You Only One Detector,X1 Agood Probe.

The Uniprobe Is The Better Probe. You Don't Have To Have Connected To Detector. It Goes Deeper Then X1.(Gray Ghost Headphones A Probe In One.)I've Had Both Probes. To Me The Uniprobes Does Better Job.You Can Use It With Other Detectors. It Also Can Be Used As A Detector.Coils Can Be Purchased To Detect With.IT Comes With No Down Time Wirers. It's A Different Slice Of Bread,But What Slice. Those That Use The Uniprobe Know What I'm Talking About.

Yes but the problem with the uniprobe is carrying the extra set of headphones around and having to switch every time you want to pinpoint. With the X1, you never have to take the headphones off! Not to mention that the Uniprobe is about 100.00 more than the X1!!

The Uniprobe I am talking about is the pocket model. Everyone that has tried them says the pocket model is more powerful and the benefits are obvious.
