The wife was leaving for the weekend to go visit her daughter who lives a couple of hours away. As she left the house she said, " You get to metal detect all you want and I won't be here to bother you about it." I thought to myself, " Now how did she know what I was thinking ?" Hunted for a few hours that evening ( Friday evening ), found the small silver ring, a '45 wheat, and clad. Hunted a sports field that is about 10 minutes away.
Saturday afternoon went out again to another sports field about an hour away. All clad, but there was a lot, $10.84 worth. Hunted about three hours and I was getting tired from all the getting up and down. After awhile, I quit digging the zinc signals and focused on other targets.
Sunday afternoon, out again to a tot lot and a fairgrounds. Did good at the tot lot, over 5 bucks of clad and another buck and a half at the fairgrounds. Dug a fair amount of trash at each location, looking for the gold and silver, but only came away with the silver ring from Friday evening.
197 coins, $21.23 if I counted correctly. 51 quarters, 70 dimes, 18 nickels, 58 pennies. F70, 11" coil, low disc, medium sens, -3 thresh, 3 tones, notch out iron.
