No silver this week, but some interesting finds nonetheless.

I think I've pretty much cleaned out the places in town where I've been finding silver coins, so I've ventured into a few new areas and have been coming up with some old stuff but no silver from these spots as of yet.

In particular I like the 5 cent trade token (found in the woods near an old boy scout lodge), 1905 Injun, and 1927 Buffalo. The pocket watch is my third for the year. Also got a big Thomas Jefferson presidential coin, about as big as a fifty cent piece. And how about that angel clip? Plus a couple other miscellaneous items.

HH,

Ray are you detecting in the museum?? You sure have some real nice finds. You know I am only kidding Ray. Those are some nice finds and thanks for sharing....Z :beers:

Thanks folks! There's no shortage of old places to detect here in the state of Washington, but like most other places everything old is on private land. I don't always like to ask permission to detect someone's propery, but sometimes I do if I'm in need of new spots. Right now, I'd like to find some old spots that are not on private land or are on timber land that permits public access. I have a place in mind that I and a friend are going to investigate tomorrow on timber land. According to a local store clerk, when she was a teenager she and her friends used to ride horses up an old logging road where they spotted an old cemetery near some apple trees. I guess there used to be a homestead there at one time. Hopefully we can find it and dig some good stuff. I'll keep ya'll informed.
