Noise cancel question..

John C.65

New member
When doing your noise cancel, the e-trac will pick a particular channel. My question is,do you stick with the channel it picks for you or do you pick your own channel? My machine seems to run better on noise cancel 11.

this is a subject that is causing me grief also.
-is NC for EMI interference or does it read the ground and make adjustment based on ground conditions
- is channel 2 the deepest?
-is 11 the smoothest?
-NC with the coil ON the ground or one foot above
-does one channel reduce iron falsing better than another?

Noise Cancel is used to reduce EMI. It has nothing to do with ground balance.

- is channel 2 the deepest?
There are some that claim that the lower Noise Cancel numbers make the machine more sensitive to higher conductive metals. This may be because the ETrac transmits it's signal at a slightly lower frequency in the lower channels. However, a lower Noise Cancel number may be unuseable because of local EMI.

Never heard of that one.

-NC with the coil ON the ground or one foot above
The manual says one foot above the ground

Not that I'm aware of.
