Do you know what day you preordered? I preordered March 6th and haven't heard anything yet.

Preordered mine from a dealer on EBAY, was shipped directly to me from Turkey. Probably been about 6 weeks.

I ordered mine mid February....so it's been two months since I paid $1000 for the unit and ......... crickets thus far

Looks like they have been released, since mine made to the states from Turkey today I would think Kellyco would have them by now too.

LOL Well heck Cal-Cobra, Kellyco already has your money......that's all that counts :) I figure by the time they get around to shipping and then parcel post from FL. to CA.....heck you should have it by mid-May or so. :smoke:

Mine also was ordered in Feb when it was first announce from Kellyco so we should see them from the first shipment, you never know how many were preordered or who they will let have from the first order. I wonder how many they got coming in the first order and when the second order will come in.

That might be the best move, you'll probably pick one up for the right money to.
The Impact has been out a few weeks here in the UK, there's little to no talk about them on the forums and i've noticed 2 of them up for sale second hand, so there will be bargains to be had.
There's not really any UK user videos as yet, so i'll be waiting for a few of these to pop up before considering it.

I use a plastic or wooden ruler w/o any metal in it when I do air-test target checks.

I am using USA coinage, to include the large silver dollars that were in circulation when I was an young lad, as well as smaller-size silver, copper, cupro-nickel, zinc, modern clad and other metal varieties. I do better that what I see in his test, but 'air tests' can be influenced by EMI and other factors. In-the-field, the Impact is responding well on all sorts of targets and I have hit on small rivets and washers and such in the 4" to 6" depths with the smaller DD coil. I use the standard 7X11 DD less often because I hunt trash sites, but when I have used it in big grassy parks, I am once again impressed with coin detection depths of the Impact.

Most of my hunting is in Di3, GEN and Di2 when using the smaller coils, and Di 2, Deep, GEN, Di99 and VLX4 when I have worked the standard 7X11 DD coil. Other modes get used as well at times, and operating frequency gets changed periodically, too.

This video has me concerned about the VDIs. Looks like some good targets read low and trashy targets read hi. I'd like to see a test with US coins (clad and silver).

The person who made the videos has very little knowledge when it comes to metal detectors. I would look at them from that perspective.

I think the guy said he was using a etrac for 9 years, he's been digging silver hammered coins to over several hundred years old, but because there very thin silver they will come in low on the number scale, as low as foil at times, that's throwing him a bit.
If he's fit to dig these old low conductor coins i'd say he's doing ok skill wise, easy to dig high conductor coins in trash or iron but not small hammered, different game, he's maybe not upto testing and showing a detector at its best in an air test, but doing so don't necessarily make you a skilled hunter either!

I have watched his videos and judging by his assessment of things and use of certain terminology, I can conclude that he has a low skill level. I use the CTX and this, as well as the etrac, are almost like detecting in an "automatic mode". You don't need an abundance of skill to get the maximum benefit from them. With other machines you do.

I don't mean this as an insult to him, just an observation. He seems like a genuine, likeable guy.

You can get a lucky find now and again but i'd say the guy knew his etrac well, probably doesn't get all the tech stuff, my mates the same, he's still using the same program i put in his etrac 3 years ago lol
