Not a total washout!

Was loading up my SUV right at first light to head out and try to beat the rain for some detecting when the rain started. Went back in the house and checked the forum and had a p m from Elton. He and I then began discussing important things like weather, finds and coin cleaning. I then knocked one item off my never shrinking "honey do" list and noted it had stopped raining. I had just recently gotten the 10" coil back from F T for my Omega and while I knew it was working properly, I hadn't yet hunted with it since getting it back. Traded detectors in my vehicle and headed to a soccer complex about ten minutes away. My second target just off to the side of one of the goals was the silver ring with black heart shaped stone. A little while later I got the other silver ring in an area where fans would set and watch the game. That one was within about 4" of a Bud Light bottle cap. That 10" coil does nicely in a trashy setting and bottle caps are seldom a problem with it. Both rings came in at 81-82 with a solid high tone in d3 tones. Each one is small, though. Both are marked 925. My one hour and 15 minute hunt ended abruptly when the skies opened up again...and of course, I was on the far end of the soccer field from my vehicle. Anyway, back to my "honey do" list. It appears we are socked in until in the morning some time. HH jim tn

Way to go Jim. If it's the soccer complex I think it is, you have to rake the Bud Light caps to find the ground.

Thats the one tabman. Side lines are loaded. Lots of clad around, though, and these are my 4th silver rings from there in the last month or so. Probably some gold there, too, but to much trash to dig it all. See you tomorrow night. We need to hook up! HH jim tn

Nice rings Jim.. Hope it clears out for you tomorrow.
