I decided to keep my G2. I've gotten PM's & emails asking so many questions on it that I'm gonna keep fielding the G2 so I can keep up with answering questions!!!
The G2 is really the greatest thing since sliced bread. All of the known Civil War sites around here had been worked over really good and I have been able to go into them and pull out some really fantastic stuff. I mean no belt plates or any thing like that, but the smaller Items like the fake gold coin and buttons that are being MASKED by the square nails. Now, I really can't tell you the difference between the 2 FT machines that I use for this magic, I just know they work and they both go with me to the field everytime I go. All I can say guys is keep the machine and use the snot out of it, that is the only way you are gonna learn it. Also, research and get the targets under your coil. You really can't gripe or compare a new machine if you just swing it in the back yard over some newly buried targets!!!! I'm going to be content with the offerings that FT has now for my use, until they offer a high end flagship model that has the same features as the G2, including running the gain at 99 without driving me nuts!!!

WISE DECISION Mark!-----I know my G2 isn't going ANYWHERE either (at least not right now).------Well, I guess I shouldn't say that---it's goin relic huntin, where it "kills" --------Del

Well, I was shocked when I saw you were getting rid of it, made me wonder about my brand new, untried one in the entryway. I thought, oops, maybe I jumped the gun on this one. Maybe I am selfish, but I am glad you will still be hunting with a G2. I enjoy your finds and posts.

To try a Omega but, in the end, I just could not bring myself up to give up the G2. I'm just afraid the Omega might be a let down in the trashy spots that I work and I'm not a fan of working a 100 acre hayfield with a 5" coil.....:surprised:
