not gold but my first necklace

Hi everyone
Went to the lake today with my excaliber 800. Below are my meager finds. I did however manage to find my first necklace even though it is junk. I do have a question; the signal came in not too strong followed by a chattering sound, is this a normal chain sound? This is only my second month using the Excal. I was able last Aug. to find about 9 rings (3 of them gold), but this year haven't hit the gold yet. Thanks for all of your help & HH!!!

I don't have an Excal, but depending on how the chain lays, on my detectors, it can sound strange, like some chittering then a beep, or multiple beeps, just depends.

Nice hunting!

do yourself a favor and take that chain out in the yard and experiment with your sens control and see what happens as you raise and lower the sens setting. I bet you will discover a new way of tuning your machine. :)

also test one of your wifes/girlfriends neckaces to get an idea of how it will sound. Like Dig says, play around with the controls and see what makes it come in the best.

Yup, you will usually get a broken low on a chain, but the pendant should have rang out pretty good. May have not gotten anything, had it not been for the pendant. If the pendant was lying sideways, this could have also caused a somewhat wavering or "chattering" signal, savvy?
