my boss called me today with some tragic news.his son was shot and killed saturday night at a gas station in omaha.neb.there is little details about the shooting pending investigation.
my boss and i have worked for ten years together for 3 different companys.each time he made a better move he took me with him and i owe him for all the successes in life i've had.he looked out for my family, and has more than once refered to me to customers as his third son.i am heart broken for him and his wife[also his older brother]as he was a loving parent.
we both shared the sorrow of loosing a father within two years of each other, but a son...i pray i never feel that pain.
it's not the way it's supposed to be.parents go first not children.
by the time i was through talking to him this afternoon i was shaking.he said he had to go and pick out a coffin for his son and i damned near lost it.i also have the task of telling the rest of our company[two people]the news of this young mans departure while my boss makes the final arrangements.
sorry for the depressing post folks.if ya got kids[of any age]hug em,ya just never know if it may be the last time you see em. todd
