This is just TOO much. It may not happen again
for weeks, but besides the Wheat cents and some
odds and ends..................
I started off with Ace 250 but after a couple hours
of nothing switched to the MXT and BANG! WHAM! KAPOW!
There it was.

Kapow is right! Not many of those are ever found detecting. If that was the only thing I found for the next three months I'd still be quite satisfied. Just great!
man, you are on a hot streak there old katz.... nice finds! i would love to find a silver dollar, but after almost 30 years hunting coins and not finding one, i'd say my chances are pretty slim finding one. but hey, you never know, my next target might be that elusive silver dollar....nice job there old katz, you found a coin not many guys ever find detecting........roger
CONGRATULATIONS KATZ!!!
You found a coin i would guess that almost all of us detectorists' aspire to dig......(many never will)
If I ever pop an 1800's silver dollar it is getting framed and gonna be hanging on a wall. (might even go back into the ground with me)
>I was just wondering if you think it was the detector or you just didn't pass over the coin wth the 250.<
I don't know but if I had to make an educated guess based on my limited experienc of only a couple years
or so, I'd say it was the MXT. I went to a high school sports field last year and discovered a small area
about 20 x 20 feet next to the ball fields concession stand. I really worked the area with the Ace 250,
working it in one direction and coming back at it from another direction .
I came back the next day with the MXT and worked it again and found coins I had missed before. SO I'd
say the MXT is really alot more sensitive but for the money the MXT costs new, I'd expect noting less.
