Not stabbin', but claddin'

I can't stab those coins like mud can when he ramps up his meds, but I can dig like a gopher when the occasion calls for it.
Third hunt at this site and the coins keep coming while I wait on more precious metal to show up.
As long as they are here and willing to be dug I figured I would set a goal to make things interesting.
The wife and I have been itching to get back to the casino for a final last gasp before we move back to Bama.
We love seafood, and it just so happens I got this e mail last week about our favorite buffet.
My goal is to dig enough clad this week to pay for 2 dinners, drinks, tax and tip.
It might be possible, I think I can get pretty close, anyway.
In 3 short hunts I have gathered $26.82 just flitting around without really trying.
Now I will concentrate and see what I can do.
It would be nice to dig just one small gold ring to cover my nut, but if I have to do it in clad so be it.

Today's take in the pic below...the goal is next to that.
I messed around searching outer areas that held less coins today, if I would just stayed in the groove in the more popular places I could have found way more so now I know.
I'm hungry, wish me luck!

That's a nice coin count. Some good beer money there. Ill be heading out for coins on my days off from work. Looking at that steak and lobster is making my mouth water. It makes me miss the days when I was stationed at Camp Lejeune and good seafood restaurants were just down the street.

Congratulations on that Century Day! :clapping:

Your goal is a longshot for a Trowel Puncher, or HoleHogger ...You might get the amount for "two dinners" but for sure not drinks or tax! holes just take too long is all...Running an average off that plate, @ a dime, figuring @$100 of clad you will need to meet your goal, that equals 1000 targets..I dont know how long it took you to dig this plate, but you can do that math too to figure out how long you will be at it....

If you dig all that in one week, you wont be able to get the fork up to your mouth! They will have to mix that lobster and steak in a blender, and you will have to drink it through a straw! Dont even think about working a slot machine!

Good looking haul though, thats a well balanced dirt diet coming out of there..You may want to just snipe Q's and D's and hope for a few Sac Dollar coins or halfs along the way?...

If you took up stabbin, and flitted around like a little tinkerbell sprite in shorts and flipflops, all jacked up on caffeine, like I do, you might knock that $100 down in 2 days! Good Luck! :clapping:
Mud.

That is a ton of coins. Have you found any silver coins there, or is it too new? That makes me hungry just looking at. I think I would probably eat real light 3 meals before that one and drink lots of water to expand my stomach so I would be able to chow down. I hope you meet your goal. When you move it is going to be hard to leave a sweet clad pile like that behind.

Too new for silver coins, but I did find a wheatie so that was a surprise.
Jewelry is what I am after, but there is relatively little trash here and so many coins this place is real fun to hunt.
I will take off the standard coil and try the 11" DD today and see what that does for me.

Mud, the quarters might be slowing down after yesterday and I figure I need about $80 total so you may be correct...but really how many times have I surprised you in the past?
One gold ring and I am in the chips as they say at the casino.
Food and gambling money dug up from the ground would be nice...really nice.
About to leave so I will report back later.

Yeah, I know about you and dirt gold! :clapping: Its gotta be there someplace, and if it is, I will NOT be surprised if you find it!:beers: You sure have a great nose for it..with such a clean place, just coins and hardly any tabs or foil, that may be a great strategy, one little 2grammer is @$50..might even be a really nice chain too! I just got back, did a little REVIERing with the F70 in a real trashy park by the BB courts thanks to you.....just clad is all I got like usual!..:sadwalk:.

Mud

Great job Rev.Iwent out to the BB court for about 2 1/2 hours this morning onlly got 2.32 in clad one 2oz fishing weight and tons of trash.I decided to use the Teknetic ETP because the eight inch coil seems to do better in the trash than the stock coil on the Vaq.I'm doing as you say and will carry the Vaq back in there when I get the biggest part of the trash out.Looks like it will take me awhile.Bout the good part is the park is only 1/2 mile from the house. Will keep you posted.Did hit 2 quartwer and 5 dimes and 2 nickles the rest were pennies.HH

Well, got a late start today and they closed this part of the park early so Tony, the head maintenance guy shooed me away.
He said I could stay if I want but I would be locked in if I did so I left.
He asked me if I really wanted to stay another hour he would send someone around to lock up but I said no bother, really nice of him to offer.

Not a bad total today.
Hit several areas I already covered with the standard coil and as I hoped the big DD found me more.
Spent some time in areas I didn't cover before so the clad is split up between the two areas about half and half.
Found a silver looking ring but I am not sure it is really a ring, just a part off of something.
No mark and it feels a little too light, plus it came in at low zinc which is not right for a silver ring this size.
I did find a centennial Kennedy half so that was cool.
I have found a few Kennedy's in the past but not from this year so that was nice.

I guess there are still a few quarters hanging around here, lots of dimes and nickels. too.
All of these cents except one or two were copper high tone signals, I am still leaving most zincolns in the ground and there are a ton of these here also.

Today's take on this shortened hunt was $9.92.
Actually I broke $10 again but one quarter had a run in with a mower and lost so I won't count that one even though I found 3/4's of it in 2 pieces.
A grand total of $36.74 so far in four hunts.
I have never gotten such consistently high totals from any other site I have ever hunted in the past so I am having a great time.
Still no gold, but I gotta believe with this many targets some and maybe more silver to add to the 2 I already found is probably hiding out somewhere.
Three more days to hunt this place before buffet night...if the rain stays away I think I can get close to paying the bill or a good portion of it, anyway.
Stay tuned.

:stars: WTG, I would think so on the late start....that's a lot of digging. Great followup hunt. I can't do that over my way ....mud done came through and cleaned me out last year

Ok, $6.65 today on a short hunt because I am getting tired but there are still tons of coins to be dug.
Quarters are slowing down a bit but that is to be expected, dimes are still everywhere and so are copper cents.
I still dig all the high tones even if I think it is a one cent coin because I still want silver and today I found another ring.
Rain due to come in for the rest of the week and the weekend but I will get back out there when I can.
Not even close to being done with this place, gold could start showing up now that I have thinned out that blanket of coins.
