Not sure how true

I was just told by a Minelab dealer that the Equinox is due out on 1st of March.
Nopt sure it it was a line from the dealer or was a true statement......just passing on what I was told.

by march 1st there will 4 new detectors out by well know companies. It will hurt their sales in some capacities.

Never heard it from anywhere else yet. I would call it "wildly unfounded" until I hear it from multiple dealers. My dealer hasnt said anything about a change in release date

In truth, we will only know what it is capable of when we can get it in our hands and actually use it in US soil.

Thats true Greg........and each may get different results. I read one of the testers was going to try it out in Hawaii Dec 18. Soooo are we still upgrading the soft ware? Id have to think the machine its self is what you see now....... but the soft ware maybe adjusted via internet BEFORE any release date.

I talked with ML customer support about a warranty repair Tuesday (12/5) and asked when the Equinox will begin shipping. She said they were still hoping to ship around Christmas, but it may be in January.

On one of the UK forums on of the testers said they are still beta testing.....

this is True

I bet Nokta/Makro have a model coming for some competition. Garrett played their hand. Whites? The MX7? They were never in the game. Fisher? People have been waiting for years. They don't know where the game is. XP? They don't care about the game. They are in their room twiddling their Deus. All are more than welcome to prove me wrong and make a fool of me. In fact I would love it.

Yes to me it does seem only a handful of companies have tried to break new ground on design and performance... Minelab , nokta, and XP Detectors mainly. As stated, Fisher, Whites, Garrett, Tesoro? Its like they say.. well?? Lets paint some old ones and slap some stickers on them and call them a new machine!

Whites is stuck in 1998 God love them. They have dedicated followers but its so antiquated.

The equinox, I'm hoping fills that gap we're looking for an affordable, fast, deep and water proof detector!:yo:
