On Monday 14th March on poor soil that corrodes copper alloy, I found this 17th Century farthing token Minted for John C Smith of the Bakers Arms Public House in Swindon Wiltshire(my home town) in 1664. These tokens were common in that period due to a lack of official coinage. Traders of all kinds all over the country used them Some town tokens were half Pennies these can be found 50 miles or so away from the town. In regards to farthings they tend to be more local. The one that I have found was 15 miles from Swindon. Not in the best condition but I thought it may be of interest to you T2 users.Sens 75 Disc 20 sounds 2+ and ground grab.
