Sorry I don't have a good enough camera to post some pictures, as I would love to show you a little tiny silver heart shaped Frat Pin dated 1956 (measured about 1/4 inch x 1/4 inch) I found at 5 inch's with my E-Trac today.

It read FE15/ CO 41-42, and did I ever have a tough time locating it even with the Sun Ray X-1. The audio was loud and clear and had that sweet silver high pitch. Boy was I surprised any machine could pick up something that small and deep that loud and clear.

My son and I found during a 2 hour hunt at a local closed down club. Four Wheaties, 1910,1915D,1917,and a 1924. Silver was really scarce as I found that little Pin and my son found a 1945 Mercury. Targets were few and far between, and we dug all signals. We are going back if we ever get some moisture to soften up that ground.

My son was really impressed with the E-Trac's ability to eliminate iron as I had to identify several for him, he also was impressed with the Quick Masks ability to identify targets you weren't sure about. He hunts with my old CZ-6 witch gets good depth but not so good at identifying iron.

Not a lot found but I had a great time getting out with my son.

Thanks for the story and the opportunity to get out and spend a good day diggin' with you son!

I'm just grateful to have such a wonderful son. The time we spend together and interests we share is just icing on the cake. The competition is kind of fun also.
