Notch Discrimination Question

I have read so much about discrimination effecting the depth capabilities of the Deus and was curious whether using the notch feature would have the same effect? If you use 0 discrimination then you basically disable the first tone so you end up with a three tone combination. If you notch out trash targets would you still lose the depth as if you were using higher discrimination? I
 
Hi,
Notch has no influence on depth as it affects only sound (silencing of notched range).
 
Yes, so notch achieves discrimination without using the discrim feature at all, and thus, depth is not affected.
