I have noticed that whenever there is an X-TERRA for sale or a thread started about an X-TERRA it's about the 305 or the 705. I'm just curious as to why? I have the 505 and barely see anything about it. Is it because it's pretty much the same as the 305? I'm just curious.

I don't know. It's a fine machine to be sure.

Maybe it's not such a leap from pushing $600 to the cost of a 705? Like once you break the $500 threshold, why not spend a little more?
I really don't have an answer.

I've even heard of some folks actually liking the 505 better than the 705, due to the fewer notch segments and tones to confuse things. I don't believe that it hits any less deep than a 705, it just has fewer options.

I was just curious. It does make sense to go to the 705 for only 150 more. Wish I would have done that. Not because it's a bad machine. It just seems that if you wanna sell it people want the 705 or 305.
