Now I can say yes...

People often ask me if I find arrow heads with my detector. Dah, no they are not metal. I am always polite though. Now I can honestly say I found one. It was a fairly deep "penny" signal, maybe five inches. I removed the plug and scooped up some dirt and put it beside the whole. Ran my X-1 Probe over the pile and it seemed to be picking up a rock. I picked it up, Wow this isn't just a rock! Then I checked the pile again and there was a stinkin' Lincoln directly under the arrow head! What is the chance of that happening?

I was hunting an old park and ended up with four wheat backs the nice 1907 IH and clad. My newly modified Explorer II worked super and produced very little fatigue for a three and a half hour hunt. I really like the new setup.

Take care and HH - BF

Wow ... what are the odds ? Very nice score !!

That is one sweet mod. What setting did you change to pick up arrow heads? :lmfao: J/k obviously, sweet finds though!

Yea, I have to agree. There is really a semi-circle of nice flint. Then the top half is sort of flint-ish, and the bottom is rough stone. I guess they made due with whatever they could use. Definitely a keeper though.

No the Indian Head cent came from a different hole. There was a clad cent under the arrow head.
Thanks - BF

Not bad for the first hunt with the newly modified Explorer II. I guess the luck magnets must have stayed in place through the mods. I always looked for arrowheads when I was young and never found one. Since I started detecting, I have found quite a few.

I found one tiny one by walking maybe 1/4 of a mile into a field until I got close to the area I wanted to detect. Put the coil on the ground right next to the arrowhead! Only found a couple wheat cents but the arrowhead made it a great hunt!
