Hey, got some interesting info from a minelab owner.
Yee haa. He told me he just couldn't pick up any 5 pence pieces.
During our little vacation we did a tot lot at 04:30 we got a large handful of them 5 pences and not a lot else although they missed a deep pound. We guess it's been getting done with a minelab.

OK, here's an interesting comparison between your dimes and our 5 pences.

The bottom picture, did you switch them around? Our dimes are clad.

What is your 5 pence made of?

I got a beautiful 1943 Aussie 3 pence at 6" and it is smaller than a U.S. dime.

Yeah they got blown about with the wind and must have got switched round when I re placed them.
I really don't know what they're made of, but ask no questions and you'll get no lies.
Our 5 is a hairs breadth larger diameter than the dime and a bit thicker.
More pics to come later from our vacation, will try and put in some landscapes too.
