Now That The Metal Detecting Season Is Over............

It's not over for many even those in the North can detect the piles of white stuff plowed off parking lots and where the kids and even grown-ups slide down the hillsides in the slick white fluffy stuff! Also, can water detect if not too deep and detectorists are dressed well in the cold weather and they are careful not to fall into the water! Saw pics of NC and Kentucy where the white stuff has fell and covered the ground...so maybe they can hunt those areas , too! Well, I've never done these in Winter, but I know some do to keep from getting cabin and gold fever! May God Bless! Amen! :Ma Betty

Just getting in full swing here in my neck of the woods! Although we are in a cold snap for a few days, I'm sure we'll be back in the 70's in a week or so.

Gosh! This posting was suppose to be a spoof, a joke, something to make everyone laugh but I see I have failed to amuse you. Of course metal detecting isn't over, except here in western Michigan maybe but it goes on elsewhere in God's wonderful world. Anyway...it was my purpose to lift your spirits with this hilarious and rediculous picture. Maybe I'm the only one to see the humor in it? Oh well ... all in well that ends well.

Oh, guess I didn't pay too much attention to the picture since it looks about like the dude who lives up the road from us. Just a familiar face. ;-)

Lisa

see what that stuff does to ya!!!!!!!!

Sorry Martin! Not much humor for me in that I have depression which is worse in the winter when there is less sunshine...but Jesus is the Sonshine in my life! Praise God that I have Him! May God Bless!! Amen! Ma Betty

I know where there is some water still flowing! :detecting::thumbup:

few flakes but we have those all year round. !!!! :lmfao: The recent storm literally swirled and completely circled Boston but only a few flakes fell where Maine was buried.!!!!! I can still dig if I could. My partners went digging yesterday ok. PEACE:RONB

Rub it in Lisa it is suppose to get down in the teens tonight, then forties friday .

Lisa- Are you serious? It is frigid here. I like cold weather, but this is getting ridiculous. Low of 12 tonight with gusty winds. Brrr..

Like I said, we are in a cold snap right now with temps down in the upper teens/low 20's at night and 40's during the day. Just heard on the news that it's gonna be colder next week with lows in the single digits. That is not our typical weather here. It will pass and we will get back to much warmer temps soon. I'm not complaining - I love winter. :)

Lisa

Yep, it's cold right now but it wont last all that long - I don't think. Of course last winter was crazy for us with much colder temps than we'd seen in many years. I'm sure we'll be back to 60's and 70's in another couple of weeks. Just checked our thermometer and it says it's 26 out there right now. It's supposed to be around 16 or 17 tonight. Like you said.... Brrrrr!!!!!

Lisa

Hi Lisa and Liz...try to stay warm and, hopefully, the weather will warm up for you both! Here in MO I expect that we will have a colder winter this year, for the weather changes about every 10 years and we've had some rather warm winters for several years now and I believe this winter of 2010 is the turning point for some colder ones....but of course Ma could be wrong, as I've been wrong before! ;) :) May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty
