Here is a black crusted quarter that I was pretty sure it would be silver when cleaned. Even the fresh water lakes are hard on coins up here when they have been in the water a long time. But hey this 1944 is still silver!

Now here are two rings. I knew they were silver under the black. Shawano found these and I cleaned them for him only to find a surprise! The braided one is sterling & 14K
The other is sterling.

Lastly see the two small ear rings. I knew they were likely silver also. One had a little gold color showing through. After cleaning, I had one silver and one gold ear ring!
