[size=medium]Did the dirt deed today, after fixing a nasty sink problem at the house. Egads, how I hate plumbing! Was nice to get out after that, even if I didnt make the quota. Sure found a lot of trash, though.
Dug a nice hole around that mason jar lid on the left in the pic; just a jar lid, dangit.

Some little black kids saw me and came over, wanting to know what I was doing - as usual. Detectors are like kid magnets.
I told them I was hunting for trash, and they went away with a puzzled look on their faces. When they told their mother this, she looked at me suspiciously and warned them to keep away from that white man!

Just the nut - no quota.[/size]

Actually, we've had similar discussion here before, if you'll recall - so lets tread lightly.

'Fact is, most black people wouldn't say that these days, at least not here in Dixie. Most everyone is fairly sensitive to using such terms and you don't hear such things much.
It used to be that black people would refer to whites as 'crackers' here in the South. Or 'whitey' and a few decades ago, 'honky' even.
But, nowadays if they have reason to refer to caucasians at all, it's usually with a two-part moniker:

"White mother-f*$%&#"... or some other derogatroy expletive.
"White dude/guy."

Likewise, most whites go out of their way to avoid the "N" word or any other terms that might offend our black brothers - as it should be. We all need to get along, right?

Yeah the whites go out of their way not to use that term but the majority of blacks use it on a regular basis. Tune in the Comedy channel on TV when the black comedians are on and you'll hear it and similar terms a hundred times in an hour. Depends in what strata of humanity you are floating in at any given time. In my time on this earth I have cruised through all of them from the ghetto on up. There ain't nothin I ain't heard. .
