This is how it is solved:

The game uses the Math "base 9" system instead of the usual "base 10 " system

If the 3 numbers added together > "9" , I just have to subtract "9" from that number; then subtract that quotient from "9" and that second quotient is the same as the circled number.

If the 3 numbers added together < "9", then I would have to subtract "9' from that number and the quotient is the same as the circled number


There are other computations that can be used, but this is the version that I was taught.
