Odd day at the park......

I thought, for a fleeting moment, I had found gold today. But, nay, it was the edge of a 1988 $100 Mexican coin.....still a fun find! I did hit a 1948 Rosie at 6" and a perfect 75 on the VDI and a small silver heart. I added to my Hot Wheels collection and found a Canadian cent! The Mexican coin, I can understand, but, I am a long way from Canada!

Nice bunch of interesting finds. Silver is always good, WTG! Tennessee is not to close to Canada either. I found a Canadian cent the other day, too. HH jim tn

Those old 100 peso coins are fun to find. I've found several over here in New Mexico. I thought I might turn them into some cash but they no longer have any monetary value other than scrap metal.

Thanks for the pics,
Mike

Roland! I found the same V Carranza coin this summer up here in Michigan...at the exchange rate, it was supposed to be worth like 7.50 or some such, but they are no longer in circulation, from what my coin guy said, and not old enough for any collectors value...I dont know for sure, still gotta do some research.

Wow, Michigan! That is a long way from home. Not to pee on your campfire, but, I believe the $100 coins prior to 1993 are only worth less than a $1 U.S. You an find them on eBay for buck or two. It is still a fun find!! It got my heart pumping for a moment when I saw that gold colored edge!

Roland, you may pee on my campfire if you wish...at my age, I no longer have the pressure nor the volume to accomplish this task in a safe and effective manner!

You must be about my age! Yeah, it would have to be a small campfire, as I would need to straddle it! (oh, this is getting waaaay off topic. sorry)
