Odd experience with the X-terra 50 today.

I was messing around today just going over some of my coins to see how they would come up. I tested a barber dime-36 every time....I tested and 1907 Indian head-30 every time....I tested a 1998 Kennedy half....Nothing...not a peep....Only way it would pick it up was in all-metal mode. Is this a common occurence for anybody? I mean I shouldnt have to hunt in AM to be able to find a half-dollar.

It will give you a 45 on the half, if the detector is working properly. What were the notches accepted / rejected in the Pattern you were using? Maybe you have notch segment 45 set to reject? Which coil were you using? HH Randy

You know what...Thats what it was, I had notched out 45 the other day......I thought it reset itself anytime you shut it off. Thanx for enlightening me to this.

this is easy to do... when I first got my 70 in one of the patterns
the dealer had changed the settings and I could not hit a jefferson nickel. It took me time... and checking with my dealer to discover what was wrong.
