I found what appears to be part of a Minnie ball that looks like it has been cut.
I have seen carved bullets and was wondering it possibly this is one too.
The cut appears to be at the upper groove all around the bullet.. strange to be by accident due to this.
I have a .58 caliber pictured with it for scale, but believe the other bullet may have been a .69 caliber.. the base looks bigger even though it is mashed.
Any help with this is appreciated.
Thought some others may have found some similar to this piece.

Looks right to me the patina is the same and it even has the clipping marks. If only the piece could tell its story!
