This is , I think , a very old medallion...the street is adjacent to the beach where I detected today; the address on the medallion is stamped "Silver Beach", but today it is called "Silver Sands" beach. It's metallic content is not significant, but I like it because of the information stamped on it.
In "days gone by" ( 1800's 1900's) there were many cottages along the beach, but they were all destroyed in the '60's to make space for a recreational area.
Couldn't find the name in the phone book for that address, but I am investigating further..I would love to return this to its owner.
I'll let you all know if I am successfull in tracking down either this person . or her family
