This is , I think , a very old medallion...the street is adjacent to the beach where I detected today; the address on the medallion is stamped "Silver Beach", but today it is called "Silver Sands" beach. It's metallic content is not significant, but I like it because of the information stamped on it.

In "days gone by" ( 1800's 1900's) there were many cottages along the beach, but they were all destroyed in the '60's to make space for a recreational area.

Couldn't find the name in the phone book for that address, but I am investigating further..I would love to return this to its owner.

I'll let you all know if I am successfull in tracking down either this person . or her family

but don't let it drive you nuts if you can't. I know the feeling of wanting to put a smile on someone's face and then losing mine because I couldn't find the owner.

...good luck in finding the owner. You sure do find a lot of old coins and relics on the beach!!

came from over here? There is a Silver Beach here on lake Michigan! :) Neat find.
