After being out of town 3 weekends in a row I finally got back to my old swim beach and did a little hunting. Yesterday afternoon I took off early before it got dark to take advantage of the balmy 60 degree day and found these 2 keepers. The name Zion is probably for the town of the same name not far from here.

Last weekend my friend Dave and I hit the spot and each came up golden. He found a nice 1969 St. Joseph College class ring and a very wide but thin band. I found this signet ring which was promptly confiscated by the Mrs. and a pair of gold backed front teeth  (not pictured)We got chased out Saturday morning after braving 50 degree weather but when it started lightning and hailing we decided it was the better part of valor to hunt another day.

And last but not least another find from last week a nice 1922 class ring from a Chicago suburb elementry school which was at the time probably the only school.
