Anyway back to the night with Frenchy. We had gotten set up, stove running and hole cleaned out. It was getting a bit late and the light was hitting the ice at quite an angle so it was pretty dark in the water. We could not see a dang thing but we didn

Aint it amazing some of the things we would do as kids to have fun.I can just see you hitching that ride to get the goldfish hitching back and then the disappoitment when it died.....All that trouble you went thru probably made sense at the time didn't it? <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol"> <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">
Another great tale Royal. Thanks for a good read!

throwing that sucker in the cold water was just stupid because I knew better.
I will never forget my shock and then anger when I saw that dang fish just stiffen up and lay there. I wish I had been married so I could have had someone to blame it on <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D">

it took me a while, now i can go look at the email you just sent me <img src="/metal/html/grin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":grin">

I get started with one of these things it seems to get a life of its own. I start telling something and it just seems to lead on and on. I had to cut this one short.
I am the same way in person though. I've been told I can talk <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D">

I throughly enjoyed it! Amazing what well go though as kids just to entertain ourselves.
I will always think about you when I bait my trotlines from now on. I use the biggest goldfish I can buy.......Im going for that big flathead!
God Bless,
Lil Brother <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)"> <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">

were these other guys older than you? Also, I bet you worried your poor mother to death! Did she have any idea you where you were? Did you give her a lot of trouble?
Thanks for sharing! It was worth the wait! <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">

"you are the only person I know who can be standing in line at the bank, and before you leave you have had several conversations with at least four people!"
Oh, well! I can't help it! But I probably do talk too much! <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">

My dad died when I was 12 and he was meaner than a rat snake. When he died I went wild and my mother could not control me. If I had had a kid like me I would have killed it and nobody would have blamed me. This is no joke.
I was a rotten kid. I would not go to school after my dad died and pretty much did what I wanted to. I have story's that I could never put here.
My mother did the best she could but there were three of us useless jerks and I was the oldest. Back then there were not all the aid programs there are now and my mother had to work nights, thus we raised ourselves. Couldn't do that now days.
My family was not much help either. My dang grandfather, who was a house painter, charged my mother full price to paint her house the year after my dad died. I don't have the happy memories you folks have and I envy them.
My mother would have had a heart attack if she knew the crap we pulled. Crap I am not proud of but managed to live through

from the few things you have written about your mother, you can tell you love her a bunch! I would give anything if my mother could have lived that long! And the thought of how well she is at her age, that's what I hope to be like if I should live so long! I think it's great that you go take her out to lunch and everything! Does your mother live in the same town as you do? How far away from her will you be when you move to Rosecommon?
You did what you had to do growing up! You turned out to be a good guy, and that's the bottom line.
I didn't realize it when I was growing up, but looking back now, I had it pretty good!
If I'm to nosey, just tell me! lol

My brother lives down here and helps her a lot. I will be coming down quite a bit.
Lots of people have tough childhoods and it really upsets me when they use it as an excuse when they turn out to be jerks. We make our choices and we should live with them. Many of mine were not good but I learned from them.

you have the gift of making people feel at ease! And you use it the right way.

vaccinated with a "gramaphone needle" when he ran into a chatty person <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol"> I can stil hear him saying that.
He accused me of that a time or two <img src="/metal/html/grin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":grin"> not too many shy ones on here!

when we met at the airport, it was not like a first meeting, it was like a reunion. That is exactly what it was like for me. It was like we had always known each other and the meeting was just natural for me.
I was hiding back in the corner to get a shot of you and Mike and Alice meeting for the first time and hell, you just walked up to me and said Hi, or you called me something. I didn't even see you coming. It must be the stalker in you <img src="/metal/html/grin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":grin">
