I have a cheap HP 3.2 MP with 3x optical zoom camera (Photosmart 733) I bought from Wal-mart for under $200.
Sherry on the other hand has a Kodak DX 3600 - a 2.2 MP that she paid much more for (before mine came out). She doesn't have or need the dock as she has a card reader for reading those memory cards) built into her printer.
She doesn't like her camera because its pictures aren't as sharp looking as mine. The setup for picking which mode you want (movie, regular picture, etc.) invariably is accidently on the movie when we go to click a picture - the movie #####up memory. So we think we took a picture to find it is still taking a movie we didn't want. We lose both the picture we wanted and we lose memory until we delete it off the card. The Kodak also seems to take forever to 'get ready' for the picture when first turned on. Mine is ready in seconds. Again, maybe a missed shot because of the time it takes to get ready to take a picture.
My camera isn't as good one close ups - which I hate.
The best camera we owned for awhile til it died was an Olympus Camedia D-340R. It was great for closeups which I loved and it took excellent still pictures. I don't recall it taking movies but hey I have a digital movie camera for movies.
Sherry says if she gets another camera - unless things change - she will get another Olympus.
I have a card reader that attachs as a extra item on the computer for reading multiple types of cards - and it was cheap - much cheaper than a dock.
Just our opinions on what we have,
