OK Doc or somebody

I been tryin to round up a couple or even one small nugget/s bout the size o BB's to calibrate my detectors, and am havin no luck, anybody out there got any ideas where i can get em? I'm in Indiana, and gonna go to where i can detect for some, but want to know if i can get my detectors to find em, any Ideas????

Get you some fishing weights, split leave them just cut in half, if you detector will pich them up it will find gold. Now Ground balce is a totally different matter, you would need soil samples of where you intend to hunt. Grubstake

Yep, lead shot, bullets, sinkers, etc. works exactly the same as gold.

Just thought i might need the real thing, very good tnx, as you see on m profile and posts, i tried all kinds o stuff just gotta try gold, gettin a sluice whipped up right now, and got m gold pan reddy too. tnx again.

Used lead sinker, smaller than BB, and have 2 detectors that will hit on it at 3 in, the rest, you got to bang it on them, it's real small, that sound bout good enough ?????

Yeh sounds ok, if they will handle ground minrals too. Thats the catch. Gold is mostly in very meneralized soil, some detectors just can't handle. Grubstake

The 2 i got that hit on it, , don't hit strong, but enough that you wanna find out what's there, and they handle mineralization real good, i was afraid i might have to do some horse tradin to get something else, but i like these detectors real well, couldn' tell much diff in the hits whether i was usin 8 in or 10 in coil, was allus bout the same, so i think i got em werkin purty gud, thanks a bunch,
