OK just for Ed :thumbup: and anyone else how cares :lol:...

I left and walked one home site fast and maybe 45 minutes dug whats in the pictures.
Relics,coins and do-dads :lol:

OK ready here we go.....
Now ya cant always be choosy and I ain't got time or money for a trip right now but its all good and always was :lol:

Yup its a 45 Auto lead and case :lol:,now I almost paid for my gas for about 1/4 of the trip with the moola ya see here
and it was dry and dusty :surrender: so I gotta watch out smoking in the woods now,even the ashes falling starts on fire :hot:
I did find other items and they was pullin my shorts off so I left em near a tree for now :D

OK back to the relic now :), a few more pictures for ya's of that 45 Auto ,now ya wonder why someone is shooting a 45 Auto in the city limits :look:
Well I'm sure it was nothing too important, maybe a little New Years or 4Th of July celebration like they all do here.
See down here those holidays they sell fireworks on the roadside and at Wally World for a week or so in advance,I guess to get folks in the MOOD :D

... me and Keith were at a detecting rally (paid hunt). Some fellow I had met the prior Sunday, came up behind me and tapped me on the shoulder, held out his hand to show me what he had just dug and said, "Hey mate, I think I just found some of your daddy's left behind war junk from the big one" ... he was holding a live "pineapple" grenade with the rusty pin still in place.

I carefully backed away and told him how nice a find he'd made and headed as far away from him as the property boundry would allow.

The hunt organizers carefully placed the grenade in the center of a field and dragged hay bales and made a two bale thick five bale tall hay bunker around the explosive. They waited until the last afternoon of the hunt to call the bomb disposal folks because they didn't want to have the hunt shut down as we were finding all kinds of Medieval and roman coins and artifacts.

We found out later that there had been a huge Medieval battle there (as evidenced by bronze spear and arrow tips) and also a WWII U.S. Army camp there.
