Hello Max; hang in there that gold will start popping up in you're scoop soon. I know how hard it was for me after using a sov. with all the different tones, to get used to a cz-20. It drove me nuts. I bought a aquasearch a few months ago and really like it. It goes deep. What i don't like about it is the on/off switch. I'd show you my collection of sunglasses, but the wife wore out the camera on the grandson. Some of the sunglasses I find are worth more than some of the rings I find.HH

Hi Willia,
There is a reason for that big chunky on/off switch. On/off switches are obviously used every time the detector is used, while other controls can just sit at the preferred setting much of the time. In my considerable experiences with all sorts of detectors, the on/off switch is the most vulnerable, particularly if it has to be made weatherproof or waterproof. I have used much smaller and neater switches with a waterproof boot, but this eventually splits and fails. Fingers with sand on them greatly speed up the failure time of the boot. For a detector that can be submerged, once the boot goes then the switch soon fails and possibly leaks water into the electronics.
The switch in the Aquasearch is in itself a sealed waterproofed and panel O ringed switch, so even if the outer boot failed there would not be a problem. However the outer heavy duty boot gives added protection for that most used control. Can't get that sort of protection and reliability in a small switch, that I know of.

You will land a big one. Look at the # of nickles the Ghost Team gets compared to Quarters and Dimes and Pennies. Your Nickle Ratio is very high compared to theirs. Keep swinging!
 
That's what the younger kids wear...cause it's cheap and the parents don't feel so bad when the kids lose it because they will. We all dig that junk jewelery too,if finding a lot of gold were easy then you would see a lot more hunters in the wet sand. The good thing is it WILL pay off in the end...by summer's end you will have found something specail if you keep at it! I've been where you're at now,and the gold will come. KEEP IT UP,Harry STC
