Look who I found in my salsa garden tonite!
These are tomato Horn Worms! Some of these guys are almost as big as my pointer finger! I have never had them before! After I found one, I started looking for more and found 8 of them. They are hard to see because the blend in so well with the color of the plant. The dime is for size.

I can still see God's artistry in the design on their skin! Even so I don't want them in my garden

a few weeks ago while detecting that was a model rubberized one. We get them here sometimes. They sure are beautiful colors & designs but will wipe out your crop in no time. They are the larval stage of the Sphinx Moth. Chickens love them, steve in so az

while out with my Dad. I had my fishing pole in the car but no bait and we stopped by a small creek. Happened upon this tomato worm and used it for bait. Caught a very nice Catfish in the middle of the day with it. Guess only ugly looking things will eat ugly looking things.

Ya might want to sell em for bait to some fishermen somewhere and make some money for batteries.
