OK-Pics of my copper pendant I found Years ago...

warthog

New member
I found it YEARS ago at a State Park up north in Michigan-The oldest state park in the Lower peninsula of Michigan. It is copper, obviously stamped-VERY thin...a cowboy on a horse, desert scene in the background-the border on the outside is raised to look like a lasso;with a loop on the top to wear on a chain.no id'ing marks of any kind on it.I had it at the '06 forum hunt for show and tell.It was found in waist-deep water,DEEP in the mud/clay...it was solid black when I recovered it;washed it off with tap water and a LOT of elbow grease to get it to look this good. Now sits in my display case!!!PS:Im heading up to West Branch tomorrow morning after work -takin the detectors,of course....I might even visit that old dump back in the woods for more old bottles;and other goodies-I will let you all know from W.B. on here sometime Saturday what I found....

Cool find. Watch for ticks in the woods!

It looks like it was a keychain fob/pendant from the 50's/60's

Sorry I couldn't help with the ID of this pendant..I thought it might possibly be some collectible movie cowboy like Tom Mix ( you are probably too young to know who that one was), or someone in that genre

nice find.congratulations
