I see you decided to send you hot :hot: weather up here! GRRRR!!!!! The next 7+ days will be in the 90's with heat indexes that will reach possibly 107!
Cease and desist or we will be forced to send you a weeks worth of below freezing weather this winter! maybe even a foot of the white stuff! :lmfao:

I just decided to share it with you all ! Funny, we are around 100 - raining this eve, very nice now :) steve in so az

Mike in Missouri where I am, the weather has been up to 99 degrees with heat indexes 107 plus! Cooled down a little the last couple of days though! Stay cool, as there is always river or lake :detecting: in the water ! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

Last week, our heat index reached 117. We had a record high dewpoint on 82. That was miserable! This week, I think our LOWEST high is 94. Y'all be safe in this heat and try to stay in as much as possible. It's been pretty rough keeping my energetic Loren in the air...lol.

wheres all the gold at? I detected at Sandbridge Beach, VA last week and just found a bunch of new coins and one wheatie, and the usual trash. No Gold, Guess I'm not a beach hunter, But it was fun anyway. Guess I'll just have to stick to detecting old home sites here in KY, they do give up some old stuff ever now and then.
God Bless,
KyBud

lol very true Joe. When it heats up, the more the people flock to the beaches. I was reading a newspaper article from 1918 about the heat wave (98 degrees )they were having here in Connecticut. Back then people obviously didn't have air conditioning luxury so what do they do to keep cool? Head to the spring fed swimming hole in my home town. (public park with a 1 acre swimming area) The town stated there were over 800 + people in the water per day during the heat wave. lol. What a sight that must of been and the coins and jewelry that was lost! The swimming hole was just done away with a couple years back. Now it is an environmental animal sanctuary.
Even with the advent of the AC, thousands of people still make the trek to the ocean to cool off.

I wish you the Best Joe at finding those lost rings and look forward to seeing you post some more goodies!

Hey Mike,
the heat wave has hit CT too. very humid and hot! at 8am I was on a ballfield looking for goodies and the sweat just poured off of me. :(
The temp has a lot to do with "bearability" and I can deal pretty good out in it for a few hours...however, it is the humidity that finishes me off very quickly.

oh well, time for more research on hunting areas.

Stay cool everyone and drink PLENTY of fluids out in this heat.

Here is my local CT forecast for the next several days ( I am inland)

5 months from now - while I am out removing 2 feet of snow from my car and driveway, this will sound real good lol

Yep, earthlypotluck, that looks like South County, St. Louis, MO's daily and weekly temps also! Ma just stays inside unless I have to get out and don't have to very often! Do have to go get my meds and food again soon though and no A/C in my car but that isn't anything new, as I have driven for years without an air-conditioned cars....but survived anyway! The younger people are spoiled and even my son-in-law, Troy, discovered that the 77 Merc doesn't have air or power and now doesn't want to drive it because of wanting the air when he quits working in the sun and hot outdoors! Pansys is what they are, as I drove it home without air to cool off after MD'ing all day in the sun, humidity and heat for 25 plus years and also to the country and back many times! Come on younger generations toughen up and taste what we older generation had to do and put up with! :heh:  :) Ma Betty

Well, people just aren't wearing that much gold anymore... either they leave it home for safe keeping or they've already sold it to pay bills. Gold finds around here have been way off in recent years.

Did you hunt the dry sand or the wet? While there's always the opportunity to find gold in the dry sand, the place where it's lost most is in the water. Work the wet sand from the shallow surf (or deeper if you don't mind getting pounded by waves :) ) to the high tide mark. Grid the area out so you cover as much "ground" as possible.

You can keep that record, I don't want it! I bet the south west has you beat though! I think I will move to Alaska!

when your rain hits the ground it just sizzles away!

By the way some things are not meant to share! You keep the heat out there buddy!

How would you like to see it cold enough that when you toss a cup of water it freezes before it hits the ground! :surprised:
