Beautiful 14K white gold ring, very old green stone with a country club symbol etched into it. Silver ring 1909 Barber, 37 merc and a 1920 buffalo. Kind of a brass lipstick tube kind of day!! The little ball next to the whistle is a baseball and etched inside is U of D champions 1938.

Sept 18th,
Beautiful 14K ring with an ugly pearl. I think it didn't like fresh water. A large silver religious medal, silver id bracelet, buffalo nickel and 2 silver roseys, and a few other odds and ends. The belt buckle is made by Matell and had a derringer inside it

Hope I didn't bore anybody, But this is what I have been doing to keep occupied and have fun.

Congrats on all the finds...you do good on your gold and silver intake and nice way to display your goodies which are found by detecting under the lake waters! You get to go where many cannot!  Ma Betty

in an older part of the USA - all the historic finds. What a collection, wish we had history here to dig. A 1920 coin is real old for us.
What is the scimitar that holds up the Roosevelt ring ? Just a little knife or a device ?

Thx for all the pics, Steve in so az

Congratulations! What a collection of neat finds. Unfortunately we generally don't have that kind of history here in western Michigan but we do our best. WTG!

Nice work! It's very encouraging to see all of those great finds, I guess I really need to get out more with my detector!

All I can say is, "WOW"! That is awesome Robert, great job! God Bless!

Love em all!

Hope you stop by again!
God bless.

That is alot of cool finds. How muany hours do you detect a day?

I am breathing faster. Last time I was out I left with a third of a tank of air, so about 4.5 hours. I think this will be my last week of water detecting. Am going to try Thursday and see how long I can last. I do have a set of waders and a long handled scoop BUT I would rather dive and find the stuff nobody else touches.

Also what is neat about diving is you can see all the targets you are uncovering. The last gold ring with a pearl was in a lot of junk and with a silver dime. I kept fanning my hand and first nails appeared then the dime and I cought a glimpse of the gold!! I have uncovered 4 gold chains that way.

There are so many complete virgin spots underwater its just wonderful. When you can find 3 gold rings, 14 silver ones and 22 silver coins in one day, you know nobody has ever touched the spot. And thats a place thats just too hard to leave!! With 11 thousand lakes in Michigan and only a handfull of divers with detectors we really have a super good chance to clean up the lakes. Maybe this winter I will post some of my best and unusual finds. Going to be hard to put my boat, canoe and scuba gear away so soon.

In full agreement with ya there, Liz! lol

Those are some VERY cool finds! I think what you are doing is super interesting, but there ain't any way I'd ever do it! lol The under water world fascinates me, but I'm NOT going there! lol I can swim but I don't really like the water when it comes to swimming or playing in it. Even though I can swim, deep water scares me - BAD! Thanks for sharing your finds! I really enjoyed seeing them and hope you will post more.

Scubadetector , I've got a question for you. How did you post so many pictures in one message? What's the trick? When I post pics it allows me 6 pics at a time.

I give up on B.O.A.T.s (break out another thousand)... Sunk 1 almost . rescued by sheriffs dept 1 time rescued by fire dept twice...Almost lost 1 ton and boat off a cliff, lost 200 gallons fuel to thief.
I have had bad luck with boats.
I wonder about scuba tho....

Ok lets see if I remember them all. First of all I am in 2 - 10 foot of water 80% of the time. The best finds are where the waders leave off around 5' and 7'. There people have dropped things and they disappear FAST. I RARELY use my detector over 20' deep. I can think of only 2 drop offs I use it on and that's it. Nothing down there but boat anchors and cans. BUT, I do love getting a beep and fanning my hand then seeing the target appear. So even though I DIVE and lay on the bottom, I can stand up and put my head above water most the time.

How to post lots of pictures. Make a FREE account at a photo hosting site and copy them to the site. Then add the links to your post. simple. I use photobucket.com

This is my 5th boat. BUT every time I look for one I think I need it bigger and actually need it smaller. Still wish I had a cabin cruiser though, but a smaller one than the 31' one I had.

Diving also allows me to see wonderful old bottles and lots of targets in one hole.

LOL Want to see SCARY? I dive here for TWO pound fishing sinkers I sell for a dollar apiece. The current here is 8 - 12 knots and is the ONLY place in the USA that you can't use a dive flag. YOU would turn into propeller bait!! I go 25 - 75- deep and these little boats go right over top of me. Can't see them but you can sure hear them. Hug the bottom till they pass!! You have to be an expert diver to dive this place and I live less than 5 minutes away from the bridges.
