Hi Guys and Gals,
First let me say that I'm a long term Explorer user.I started with a XS (sold it two weeks ago) and I own a SE Pro right now.I also Have a new E-Trac.I will start by saying that when I first heard about the Etrac I was very interested but frankly got scared off by all the whineing about them. The fact is it was blown way out by a bunch of guys that wanted it to be an Explorer 3 and it wasn't.I finally got one to see for myself. Do you want a unit that works alot like your Explorer but does a better job with ground and falseing and alot of other things? Then take my word for it and try one.No chatter just as deep. That means alot to me and you.Don't forget this is coming from a guy who has an Explorer and I do know how to use it well.Andy's book is dead on and a great help. The Etrac really is a great unit and it is worth investigating.I'm not trying to sell these that's for others to do I'm just saying this to you guys that are wondering about the unit.It is very nice and basically there is no learning curve.

L stick with my SE.

I have used all the Explorers and now the E-Trac and find I like the E-Trac a bit better and easier to use. I find it dont chatter as much and smoother running for me and been picking coins out of trash better than I ever had before. The Explorers too are great detectors and feel it maybe better for some that do all around detecting, but for coin hunting I like my E-Trac.
I feel it may have got a bad wrap from many that wanted it to work like they wanted it to and not learn it the way it was designed to work.

Tod,That XS Explorer you sold me is great, the owner took great care of this detector.A keeper.Again Thanks Ron

I'm very happy that you like it.Best of luck with it.Todd
