Okay, can somebody explain this?

Today I found a dime. when it came out of the ground it felt light and looked gray rether than "silvery". It's dated 2003D and as it turns out it IS light, because it IS aluminum and on the back it's embossed "COPY". I've never heard of such a thing and it appears to be an exact replica except for the word COPY and the fact that it's sluminum instead of nickle' /copper Or what ever dimes are these days. Anybody know anything about this thing? I'll get a picture in a day or so.

Its a copy.

Possibly part of a kids play money set, although those are usually not overly detailed.
 
I had the same thing happen to me a couple years ago with an 1863 half dime. Got the blood pressure up until I turned it over and saw that it was a copy. But it was really fun for a brief moment :)
