I get my med at Walmart, because it is easy for me to get to and Cliff and I purchase food there and I get my household products there! Well, Cliff got his prescriptions filled for anti-biotics and for prednisone, which he doesn't care to put in his body, but I told him that I went through two rounds of them earlier this year and he will be all right, as he needed to get his coughing and nasal drainage under control! Then, problems with my prescriptures were the cough med with codiene I was supposed to get filled, was $75.00 for a very small bottle of Tussen or something like that! So, I said I can't afford that and I didn't get it. I did purchase Musinex OTC, as they wouldn't fill a prescription for it, and I read the label and it has Guaifenesen in it and I was using cough syrup by that name! But they couldn't fill my breathing med or Quinine which is needed for leg cramps! They needed to call my dr. and that was Tuesday!
Went back yesterday, to return an airbed Cliff purchased because his old one leaked too much and he likes airbeds to sleep on! I went to the pharmacy to see if they had done anything about my meds. They did fill the Quinine with another type of med that is more powerful than the original, but those who have Malaria need Quinine, so can't understand why they aren't making it any longer? They still were trying to sell me the $75.00 small bottle of cough syrup, which they kept because I refused to pay for it! And my Symbicort inhaler prescrip was filled and my ins helped pay for the Quinine med and Symbicort! So that is my problem taken care of!
Now, for Cliff's airbed problem! When he opened it to use it Thursday night, after removing his twin bed because the airbed wouldn't fit on the frame and would be too high to get in and out of....would have been higher than his foot board at 20' height of the airbed! He opened the box and wasn 't a new one, as that one was filthy and had to be pumped with air twice during the night! So he tried to return it and get it exchanged, but no more were there that he wanted! While I checked out, he tried getting his money back and they refused because of a notice sent to the people who accept returns and he could only get an exchange, but as I said, there weren 't any more! After I checked out he called me to him, and said they wouldn't give him his money back! So, after this redhead's feathers got ruffled, but not real loud and no cursing or anything like that, I said well what is he supposed to do, when you have no more for an exchange! The clerk and the manager both said, we would have to go to another Walmart store and see if they could exchange it! Well, that didn't suit either Cliff or I, as we get so tired and driving to other stores far away was not in my agenda!!! Besides he needed to get back on his oxy supply! No small tank and holder to carry with him, as yet!
We asked if there were more in the back to bring out and was told they were all on the shelf! That's when I asked the manager, is there a manager over you, and she went and got the other one! He took one look at the date on Cliff's receipt and said what's the problem and why haven's you given them their money back! They tried to tell him about the notice, but he just handed her the receipt and left! She finally gave Cliff the money, as he had put it on his debit card!
Well, brothers and sisters, I recommend that you either open boxes in the store and check what is in them or find out about their return policies! Someone had used the airbed for a long time and returned it for an exchange and therefore rec a new one, and left the old one to be purchased by an unlucky customer! WalMart only accepts exchanges or unopened boxes! Therefore, they have no idea what is returned! Dirty business practices but I think most stores are doing that now because the love for money is the upper eschelons' main objectives and they want that profit for themselves and their stockholders!
SO BE AWARE WHEN YOU BUY SOMETHING THAT YOU MIGHT HAVE TO RETURN! Take time to investigate what is in the box!
God Bless!
