Let's set the stage up like this.....
Your at an old home site. The home has been long gone for several years now. It's obvious that they had burned the home down cause she's loaded with nails. I did manage to pull a 1960's dime out of the nails but my question is this.....

Your using and explorer II....could you walk me through your set up for this type of site!

Thanks I got into advanced, and I got into trouble fast! hehehehe You know what I did wrong.....Please tell me how to do it right!
How would you set up your Explorer for these terrible conditions!

Thanks in advance for all your replies!

Iron mask 15
Ferrous
Gain 6
Sens. 16
Variability 9
The iron mask at 15 will knock out most small iron.
Ferrous will put all high pitched tones to the right side of the screen.
Gain at 6 will keep the high trash loud and the deep stuff soft. Listen close.
Sens. at 16 will help with those shallow trash targets.
Variability at 9 or 10 will help separate those targets. Nails will sound squeaky and silver will sound sweet. you'll know the difference when you hear them.
Go slow and listen carefully.
These are only my suggestions and that's that. Good luck.
