found this old bottle in garage it is a SANTAL DE-MEDI bottle from paris on the net this bottle is dated 1888 and something about poison. now it has some strange thing in it looks like something that calcified petrafied . i got a bad feeling about it. clear bottle with a iredesent purple tint to it the cork is still in it looks like it was broken off so you cant open it. i have pictures of it. please tell me if this is dangerous.

I have some bottles with a cork still inside and though I see one on the end I am sure that at some point a cork was pushed in and they used another for the stop as it is very difficult to get the cork out once in. I say it is an old cork.

shrunken head sounds good though.

Could be dried out remnants of what was once inside. After being buried for 120 yrs it's liable to be anything.

im afraid to open it. im pretty sure its not a cork but it looks rather like wood or bone or a rock. if you look closley almost could be a dried up gaulbladder i still think it looks like a teeny tiny shrunken old mans head

The purple tint is SCA or sun colored amethyst it is a reaction to the ultra violet rays of the sun.
