I found this swinging the X-Terra 505 with the 6" 18.75khz coil at an old home site today about 4" down near an old tree. I've found some items that date the site to late 1800's early 1900's. I can find no makers mark on the lock. It is brass and has bottom keyhole. Google hasn't turned up much so far, I was hoping someone may have some info on it. I know being a bottom keyhole it is probably 1900's, but that's just a guess. Thanks so much for any help you can offer.

I also found one just like it a couple of years ago.
I have seen a few others found also.. must have been a popular model.
I'm guessing from where I found it, early 1900's.

Your lock will be marked on the shackle at top , in a diamond S B & Co. (Slaymaker Barry & company)
Some have patent date at bottom left on shackle .
The patent date is 1893 and They were made before that with no date I think back to 1888.
