been looking for an old pavilion at our local show grounds and found it today we think,,, got some directions from one of the older guys in our town, hunted around a bit then just before we left we started to find a concentration of targets, mostly nails and iron and stuff,we hope to get back there in the next few days, but will let you know how we went,, we did find some decimal coins , 2 old buttons, and the old kero lighter, looks like it was silver plated or something, and almost complete,,

Awesome!:super:Sounds promising!:thumbup:Yeah, I'd definitely hit that place hard.:twodetecting:Grid that area good!
Best of luck to ya'!:biggrin:Keep us posted!:wiggle:Happy Hunting!:)

You need to hit that place some more. The lighter looks like an old Ronson Adonis like I had about 137 years ago. May be some interesting finds there. Good luck.

Good research pays off. What are decimal coins?
in Australia we used pounds shilling and pence like they do in England,, in 1966 we changed to a decimal system, cents like you guys use only our coins are different values,,1,2 ,5 ,10, 20, 50 ,,$1 ,, $2,,,these $2 coins sure help the totals,, we stopped useing 1,, 2 ,, cents in about the 80s sometime,,

...yes, and there are literally billions of those little 'brown beggars' in the ground. Pure copper and hard to escape!
