Old City Playground

I opted to take a run into the city to investigate a playground that has been there since at least 1920. I suspected that it's been hunted hard but we all know the possibilities that exist even in a pounded park. About 20 minutes in I hit on the large pocket knife that rang in at 84 - 85 on the AT Pro. A little while later I found the watch which was ringing at the same range as the knife. About a hour in my AT Pro gave me a 55. I figured it was a pull tab but was ecstatic when I pulled out the 1906 V nickel. It was the first one I had ever found. I though about quitting right there on that high note but I put another hour in. The last thing I found was the Kennedy half which was a nice way to end the day. I was getting a lot of ghost signals. Not sure why but maybe a lot of magnetic material in the soil. I will definitely be back at that park again before the weather turns.

Love all the finds, but the "V" is special to me because that was my first old coin ever!
