HUNTED OLD CELLAR HOLE IN WOODS TODAY FOUND TWO BUTTONS ONE LARGE ONE TINY AND THIS HUNK OF METAL THAT LOOKED SORT OF LIKE A RING PUT IT AND THE BUTTONS IN MY TUMBLER TO CLEAN THEM UP AND SURE ENOUGH THE METAL TURNED OUT TO BE OLD RING NOT SURE WHATS ITS MADE OF AND THE CENTERS HARD MINERAL DEPOSITED IN IT USED MY NEW EXPLORER SE PRO WITH 10BY12SEF COIL LIKE THIS COIL NOT TO HEAVY PINPOINTS EASY SPOT ON STILL LOTS TO LEARN ON THIS NEW DETECTOR BUT ITS A BLAST READING ALL POSTS ON THE SE I CAN FIND TAKING IT ALL IN AS BEST I CAN GOT THE EXPLORER AND ETRAC BOOK AND USING BRYCES SETTINGS MOSTLY THE SOUNDS ARE COMING I THINK ILL GROW INTO THIS DETECTOR I SHELL BECOME ONE LOL MY THE FORCE BE WITH ME
 
interesting find bud. thats one OLD ring.
 
I can't make out much on your ring....there's very little color difference in your photos. Your 4th and 5th photos look like a thimble to me!
