Old Hotel Hunt

Tried a new spot today. Old hotel from the 1800's to early 1900. Found one silver Barber dime and some wheat penny's dime was a 1906, wheat's are 42,50,52,20,53 and 48. Two tokens with a old car on them and Maxwell wrote on back. A little chicken cookie cutter , pocket knife and a cool little meat grinder toy maybe or salesman sample. Nasty thunder storm came up so will try again another day. Forgot about the tractor tire compass and part of a cap gun.

Nice going! That's kind of stuff that I enjoy finding.

fantastic hunt!

Cool stuff! Has the hotel been demolished? I hunted an old school yesterday that's been gone for a while, and it sure was trashy!

The hotel is still standing but empty. There is another one close by that has been tore down as soon as I get permission will be hunting that to. Not a lot of trash close to hotel but futher you go in back yard the worse it gets.

Interesting finds, thinlizzie. I hunted an old hotel they tore down for a college and it had so much trash, it drove me and my GTI-2500 crazy. Wish I had the At/Pro then, no telling what's buried under the foundation now. Even with the sniper coil, it was a nightmare. Found my first mercury dime there and it was minted in 1925, the same year my dad was born and I will keep it for that reason.
Happy hunting at the other site, also.
